In 1861 census described as born in ?Yenton, Warwickshire, but in 1871 census as Oldbury. The birth certificate of George has no father included (possibly because pre-deceased). On George's wedding certificate his father's name is given as James Jackson (possibly step-father). There are Jackson families in Whitley St at the time of the 1871 census.

Elizabeth married Henry HIGGITT, son of James HIGGITT and Sarah SAUNDERS, in 1845. (Henry HIGGITT was born on 18 Jul 1819 in Rugeley, , Staffordshire, England and died before 1871.)
