Thomas married Sophia JONES, daughter of William JONES and Unknown, on 9 May 1847 in Parish Curch, St Mary, Newington, Surrey, England. (Sophia JONES was born in 1829, died on 27 Feb 1861 and was buried in Hargraves Pioneer Cemetery, Mudgee Shire, Orana, New South Wales, Australia.)

Thomas next married Ellen READ in 1862.
